About Us

Richard Chandler, CEO of Upturn Hotel Consulting, is a seasoned hospitality leader with over 17 years of industry experience—five of those focused on data-driven innovation and product development. He has played a key role in building a $25 million, state-of-the-art automated revenue management system, served on the HSMAI Board of Directors, and earned his CRME certification.

Prior to founding Upturn, Richard was Director of Data and Product Development for the Migo product suite and most recently served as Head of Data and Revenue Management at Niido, a groundbreaking multifamily apartment operator in partnership with Airbnb. His previous roles include Director of Revenue Management for Hyatt Hotels, Director of Revenue Management for Pivot Hotels and Resorts, and Manager of Revenue Management Systems at Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

A graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration, Richard currently resides in Dallas, Texas. He brings a passion for data-driven hospitality and a proven track record of boosting revenue for portfolios exceeding $100 million in annual revenue.
